Soooo you guys, last part of my travel diary via pictures! Everytime I look at them I realize again how much I enjoyed it and how inspiring that city is 🙂 Meanwhile in reallife: tomorrow is the last day of uni before holidays and it’s gonna be a tough one (10 am – 8pm). Today though we had a christmas party for the whole uni and it was so cool 🙂 At the beginning it was quite lame and people left because it was mainly mulled wine drining and biscuit eating without interesting interactions. But I somehow knew that I’d just have to stay a little longer and voilà, it was worth it! Pauli (a classmate) and I got to know more students from other courses (game design) and had quite a lot of fun! I love being connected to other uni courses but it can be slightly difficult at the start. However, we grew together a bit more and had a good evening 🙂
Welcome back adventurer! Here we go, second part of my attempt to capture the blissful beauty of this special city! Also, happy weekend! I am glad that I’ve got 2 days off anything to concentrate on my uni homework and christmas presents 🙂 This year I somehow managed to NOT get into stress regarding presents and just having fun adding bits of this and that to fit every individual loved one 🙂
There will be a last part on monday, it would just be too much beauty for one post 😀 I wish you the happiest 4. advent and love and peace and balance,
yours truly, Jule xx
It’s been a while, but…
Here I am, back with the first batch of pictures from my trip to Amsterdam. As I said before, Anna and I decided spontaneously to visit our friend and former housemate Millie from Bristol, wo moved to Amsterdam for studying with Erasmus. It’s been a year that we haven’t seen us, from the point that Anna and I left England to swap it for Portugal. In addition, I’ve never been to Amsterdam before (at least I can’t remember) and was so curious ever since Anna started to enthuse about it about 2,5 years ago!
So here we were, in midst of that vibrant city, sourrounded by tons of lovely (coffee) shops, flowers, stunning interiors, open windows, vintage goodness etc etc! Every detail in the centre is just so heartwarming and very obviously made with love! So have a look at the pictures, more are yet to come 🙂
Two phone pics from last weekend when I went to one of Berlins 103 christmas markets! (Doesn’t that sound insane? No surprise that other countries “borrow” the one or other market for teir own cities like Bristol, which hosts a original german Weihnachtsmarkt!
I am now somewhere at the airport, let’s wish for good weather in the Netherlands! What I hope for from this trip? A love-filled reunion with my babe, safe travels, longs strolls and deep talks, pleasently encountering new dimensions, reasonable vegan restaurants and some lovely vintage finds!
Much love ‘n light, Jule xxx
Inspirational quote of the day:
Replace the fear of unknown with curiosity!
Hello friends! Just got a notification from bea to update my blog and sometimes I just need an reminder, because days go by and there are so many things to get done, but then again it is so nice to save some thoughts on my blog for later.
So what is going on? I currently have a week off and use it to catch up on my nutritional health studies and hopefully finish some uni homework. I’ve been enjoying a lot of family time lately and this is grounding me a lot! Tomorrow (oh em gee?!?!) I’ll be heading to Berlin to freak out together with Anna about the fact that we’ll be in Amsterdam a few hours later :O I’ve never consciously been in Amsterdam (maybe as a kid but I can’t remember) and I know from my friends that it’s EPIC! So really looking forward to visit this city and our former housemate Millie from Bristol : )))
Also I am thinking about doing a little column about my fashion design studies, like what is happening in the courses, the tasks etc. Would that be interesting to you guys? I, personally, never had a clear idea of what art students actually do and how the study looks like 🙂 Let me know xx
Alright, I’ll give my best to fill my beloved blog more often, as an inspiration for you and me as well! Have a blessed day ❤
I’m back from Danzig!
A group of my old friends from school and I went to Poland and the city of Danzig (Gdansk) to do what we did in Prague 2 years earlier: coming together to camp, have fun, drink, laugh, cook, chill etc. This time our campground was almost directly at the beach (5 mins walking) and we had a huge “base camp” framed by a DDR caravan , VW T5, TIPI tent, a hammock, ale-benches and a tripod holding a huge kettle/cauldron. I didn’t take a camera this year because it just nicer sometimes not to think of taking pictures all the time, but these two here, which I took in Prague, pretty much show the situation!
Well, after 7 days of heavy rain to baking heat we made it back and I went straight to Anna’s. It took us less than an hour and we were diving deeper than my head could process that quickly! We talked about the anunaki “gods” and how there is no such thing like a setting sun, because it’s just us who “turn our backs to the sun”. The sun itself shines day and night so basically there’s absolutely no need for TIME as in DAYTIME and NIGHTTIME. The NOW finally made perfect sense because in the past I used to think:
“Ok if time does not exist and time counting is manmade, why do we have day and night?” But then it hit me and I actually felt dizzy, because the simple fact that the earth is circling doesn’t mean that we need the concept of time.
Howsoever, this is kinda hard to explain. What we have is now and that is more than enough 🙂 Kiss!
Let me introduce you to my current comfort zone : my life. And you know what’s about to happen? Growth. Because whats happening right know is getting me nowhere and this has to and will be changed (now).
More focus. On my “worldly” goals and, above all, my spiritual ones. I know I could get everything I want (doesn’t have to be materialistic but involves life qualities such as the feeling of freedom and abundance and unconditional love) within like 10 days IF I ONLY STARTED! Ok, end of speech.
Friday, with a touch of spontaneity, I took the coach and train to my old hometown and visited Anna. She thought a lot of things changed and the distance may be a barrier for us BUT OF COURSE (and luckily) we just vibed so strong together again, felt the love and talked about feelings, goals, thoughts etc. I am so grateful for our connection. Just to be understood. And to have the same idea of what life really means. We went to Bora Bora a.k.a the lake Müritz and went swimming just about the same time that the sun set. “Looks good!” she joked as I tried to heave myself unto the bathing jetty, which was quite high. “SO take a picture!!” I screamed back before we were bursting with laughter, me still pressing my body on that landing, not able to push it up fully 😀
An honest, authentic, funny, relaxing, spontaneous, yummy, super warm, summery weekend filled with love. So grateful 🙂
Just a little throwback to our b-e-a-utiful time (comment if you get it 😉 ) in Porto.. gosh, I remember how I couldn’t realize being actually there, on the road, in a car, at the beach, in our own house, all along. And I knew it would seem like a fairytale when I’d return some day. We didn’t stay as long as we’d thought, but this -to me- only means that we’ll be back soon. Looking forward to actually start surfing and feel the truly energetic strength of the waves… it’s not explainable but I felt something I haven’t felt before when jumping into the waves in February. However, I am grateful for the very moment, really am. Got football shoes today for frisbee… excited to try them out. My mum said I look like a little football fanatic boy when walking in them in our flat 😀
Much love and light to every single one of you, we are one ❤
I felt so much “nothing” while being in that forest. Sweet, energetic, positive, pure, clean, inspirational, fulfilling nothing. Someone put his/her hammock in between the trees. Kids built tipis out of dead wood. I sat there , being.
This is the most inspiring season to go into forests. Believe me, magic happens there 🙂
We arrived- finally! 25 hours on the road and ferry, 5 passengers with lots of food and even more baggage. We slept in our sleeping bags in a corner of a hallway on the ferry, which brought us over to Sweden over night 🙂 it’s fresh and both sunny and rainy here, but the air is so crisp and awesome, it’s just fantastic 😀 I’m gonna sleep well tonight, I wish the same to you too ❤
