These pictures make me dream of warm, dusty pink summer days.cats2Breakfast with a friend, coating oneself with that warmth in the air, the room bathed in light. You are about to slip into your favorite sheer summer dress and the strap sandals that are so perfectly adjusted to your feet because of long summer walks over the past years. p1340936

My weekend

IMG_2161IMG_2156

My weekend  was so different somehow haha! Like normally when I am alone at home I’d spent lots of time inside doing nothing… especially when it’s 30 + °C outside – pretty reasonable, huh? But this time I did a lot of stuff..

On friday evening I went to Lottes (ex-) place to help her renovate a bit. This is where I spotted the beautiful flowers btw *_* Also, isn’t the quality astonishing for an iPhone 4?

When we finally finished we went back to mine, we had the place to ourselves, made a delicious veggie lasagne with cheeeeese (vegan ofc) and then watched “How to be single”. I watched it with Anna before and it was so hilariously funny I watched it again with Lotte.

On saturday I thought I could finally take a look at a climbing centre in Leipzig… I went climbing every other day in Bristol and haven’t used my gear ever since. Anyway, every circumstance spoke against going on that day, it was frickin hot outside, it was getting late, I could have gone the next day, I had no-one to go with, I would have had to cycle for 30 min. BUT I just couldn’t stand that feeling of “doing nothing and feeling bad about it” anymore, so I JUST WENT. On my own, and yeah, it was fun! I bouldered a bit, inspected the centre (which is amazing) got 3 decent blisters and went back after like 40 minutes 😀

Later Lotti and I wanted to meet up for a picnic in the park where a free open air classical music festival took place, but when I arrived it started to POUR, I was completely soaked after 3 seconds, no kidding!!! But it was warm and utterly energizing, such a good feeling!! Drenched like after a good shower I cycled back home and had my sushi without company haha, but the little trip was worth it anyway!

My hands, or rather the open blisters, hurt so much but thats part of the deal. They’ll heal quickly. Today I cleaned my room, got rid of unused stuff, sorted my wardrobe and then cooked dinner for my family – wedges with a stir fry (pak choi, broccoli, mushrooms, onion, soy sauce)  and guacamole *_* They loved it and so did I, now we are gonna enjoy a quite and cozy evening with reading and cuddling.

When rain -> indoor picnic

Because we are celebrating a birthday today, my beloved sister and I were wondering what to arrange. Actually we planned a dreamy, boho-like picnic in the park with cake, beverages, music and activities like frisbee or any other kind. Impractically we have continual, monsoon-like rainfalls since tuesday and it didn’t want to end today. So, prepared for that, we slightly changed plans and decorated our living room to create that picnic flair – just indoors. We all loved it 🙂 Wild flowers, leaves, CAKE, candles, fruit, guitar (and piano-not quite possible in the park 😀 ) lots of blankets and 1 trillion cushions! On the TV we had a 8 hour forest video from youtube haha, giving us that outdoor feeling. The birthday “kid” loved it as much as we did and the surprise was pleasant and successful!

Btw, these brownie muffins are so easy to make and super rich and satisfying!
Just sift together 1,5 cups (gluten free) flour, 1 cup whole cane sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda and a pinch of salt.

Then add 1/3 cup canola or coconut oil, 1 cup cold water, 1 tsp vanilla and white vinegar. Stir in chocolate chips and bake for 35-40 minutes at 175 °C! Yummy!

About letting life do its thing

d

Back in January I would get angry about mentioning the option of going back to Germany and stay longer than 2 weeks. About letting the next chapter of my journey taking place at home. I was so feeling the whole “living in a foreign country without planning and return dates” that I couldn’t think of pausing that lifestyle. But – this I knew from my heart – it wouldn’t be too bad either. Could be actually really fun, having endless opportunities at home, let alone some amazing german products we’ve missed abroad. Well, home for me meant getting back to the old everyday live, stop living the dream .. but bullshit! If I’ve learned anything on my travels then that it is always my choice to do or not do whatever I want! And it doesn’t matter where… the most beautiful place is in your heart (aww, cheesy but true) and no spot on earth can ever bring you fulfilling happiness seperately! Sooo… we can always come back I said, Germany is just another destination after England and Portugal, we can leave for the adventure again as soon as we like!

Now, back home for almost 1 month I must say, everything worked in favor for us again! Fate, I mean. I am loving it, still not planning but living freely and continiously doing what I love. It makes such a difference… and trust is everything. A favourite saying of mine is:

Live each moment completely and the future will take care of itself. – Yogananda

No need to worry, everything is good, just let go and accept and know that things happen for you and for your favor 🙂

Breaking the fast

Résumé: that night was kinda hard. Meditating was good and enjoyable but fasting and staying awake all night at the same time can be sligthly frustrating! I guess this is why I had some fruits at 4 am, it’s been 28 hours without food and I read that one meal is permitted during Shivaratri 😀 But anyway, I made it and so did Anna! As soon as the sun rose I made myself breakfast and we watched Game of Thrones and later on Totoru, but I fell asleep after like 30 mins and woke up 2 hours later? Both of us actually haha 😀

The pictures above are in front of the zoo we have in our town. It was too late and too expensive for us (13 € :O ) to get in, but the scenery was still so nice and spring-like 🙂

Now after dinner (I had lentil&spinach dahl with roasted potatoes, broccoli and tomatoes – so delicious!) and our video-watching ritual I could really see some more episodes of GoT 😀 So we will! Have a cozy night <3
