Amsterdam Part2

Welcome back adventurer! Here we go, second part of my attempt to capture the blissful beauty of this special city! Also, happy weekend! I am glad that I’ve got 2 days off anything to concentrate on my uni homework and christmas presents 🙂 This year I somehow managed to NOT get into stress regarding presents and just having fun adding bits of this and that to fit every individual loved one 🙂

Here we were on the scout for a nice coffee shop that serves vegan lunch. This one had only one option BUT we stayed to take pics of their incredible decor! So lovely!

Ok, so we didn’t find a vegan snack but stumbled across this pretty restaurant that had some vegan and glutenfree options. Not very cheap but worth the price …

This tempeh and salad plate with patatas bravas was 11 € and included the MOST pleasent server that you can also have a nice chat with!

Tempeh is fermented soy beans and super healthy, it is rich in protein and dietary fibre and leads to way less bloating than normal tofu. Our body loooves fermented stuff (i.e. Sauerkraut/miso/soy sauce)

Next up, one of plenty of beau-ti-ful windows and show rooms, perfectly decorated in style and with abandon! Simply walking by these shops is fun, you don’t even ave to leave money there! But, on the other hand, it’s not even that expensive, you’ve got all kinds of price variations!

There will be a last part on monday, it would just be too much beauty for one post 😀 I wish you the happiest 4. advent and love and peace and balance,

yours truly, Jule xx

love for flea markets

Hey pals,

I am so tired right now. It’s close to 2 am and I just got back from a house party, whose hosts I didn’t know at all. Wasn’t my type of party, too much smoke etc, and already super tired! Not surprising tho after a day like this; woke up early to spent the day at one of the biggest flea markets of the country (I guess) with my mum and sister, it was cold but I felt good and it was amazing to have them both around! I got a nice big wooden box and ladder (for half the actual price because the seller liked my eye colour so much 😀 ). Tomorrow (or rather later today) we’ll have a Halloween party but I already decided not to party too hard, as I just wanna feel good and not drained!

So sleep well and remember : the best project you’ll ever work on is you! Haha, out of context but u know, it’s important xx

Sunday

Another “moving -in” sunday! This time we painted a wall, 2 massive chalkboards and set up some stuff! Tis literally screamed for kebab so I went to get some oriental goodness! We have this kebab and falafel place just around the corner that has looooots of vegan options! From tofu to seitan döner/burger, falafel, vegan dürüm, 5 vegan sauces and a lot more that I can’t remember rn 😛 I had a vegan falafel kebab without bread, so actually just salad (love the kabab salad!) wit hummus, mango sauce, aubergine paste and fresh homemade falafel.

Today was packed as well. Uni till 5 with one really good class about art history, then I shopped some art supplies and deco items that were on sale (I’m such a sale sucker hahaha) , next I rushed home and arrived JUST ON TIME to catch the postman (who had a package for me). Further I went to the post office to drop off a parcel and afterwards went back to the city again to meet Vero and Enn, two girls I study with. After a short visit at Vero Moda which yielded me 3 very needed trousers I took the tram home and helped Eva, carrying her stuff into the flat (late night workout!). Now I should be in bed sleeping, but no, I am blogging for you guys haha! 9 days till we get w-lan by the way! I hope you are doing great loves, catch you later and good night ❤  xxx

Heeeeeey friends!

Wow this blogging game is going strong right know haha! Today wasn’t that super special, I went grocery shopping and enjoyed carrying home bags that had a min weight of 177253 kg. New-flat “problems”:D Then I cleaned the flat and eventually decided to spend the evening at my mums place (free food included! :P). It’s always good to see her and my stepdad,so I just did 🙂

Anyway, here you’ve got a glimpse of my new room! It’s finally kinda done and I am super happy with the result 🙂 It’s both cozy and “clean” enough for a productive creativity flow. Tomorrow Lotti (my friend and flatmate) is gonna come to our new home and truly moving in :))

So much for that…right now I am listening to Glen Hansards performance at the Rudolstadt Festival and soon getting ready for bed. I hope you have a fantastic friday and a weekend to look forward to! xxx Jule

When rain -> indoor picnic

P1300428P1300449P1300436P1300443P1300440

Because we are celebrating a birthday today, my beloved sister and I were wondering what to arrange. Actually we planned a dreamy, boho-like picnic in the park with cake, beverages, music and activities like frisbee or any other kind. Impractically we have continual, monsoon-like rainfalls since tuesday and it didn’t want to end today. So, prepared for that, we slightly changed plans and decorated our living room to create that picnic flair – just indoors. We all loved it 🙂 Wild flowers, leaves, CAKE, candles, fruit, guitar (and piano-not quite possible in the park 😀 ) lots of blankets and 1 trillion cushions! On the TV we had a 8 hour forest video from youtube haha, giving us that outdoor feeling. The birthday “kid” loved it as much as we did and the surprise was pleasant and successful!

Btw, these brownie muffins are so easy to make and super rich and satisfying!
Just sift together 1,5 cups (gluten free) flour, 1 cup whole cane sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda and a pinch of salt.

Then add 1/3 cup canola or coconut oil, 1 cup cold water, 1 tsp vanilla and white vinegar. Stir in chocolate chips and bake for 35-40 minutes at 175 °C! Yummy!
