Trippy weekend

Two phone pics from last weekend when I went to one of Berlins 103 christmas markets! (Doesn’t that sound insane? No surprise that other countries “borrow” the one or other market for teir own  cities like Bristol, which hosts a original german Weihnachtsmarkt!

I am now somewhere at the airport, let’s wish for good weather in the Netherlands! What I hope for from this trip? A love-filled reunion with my babe, safe travels, longs strolls and deep talks, pleasently encountering new dimensions, reasonable vegan restaurants and some lovely vintage finds!

Much love ‘n light, Jule xxx

From Studying to Amsterdam!

from santigold . oh I miss Portugal. What a blessing that we could just live there in our own peace and freedom.

Hello friends! Just got a notification from bea to update my blog and sometimes I just need an reminder, because days go by and there are so many things to get done, but then again it is so nice to save some thoughts on my blog for later.

So what is going on? I currently have a week off and use it to catch up on my nutritional health studies and hopefully finish some uni homework. I’ve been enjoying a lot of family time lately and this is grounding me a lot! Tomorrow (oh em gee?!?!) I’ll be heading to Berlin to freak out together with Anna about the fact that we’ll be in Amsterdam a few hours later :O I’ve never consciously been in Amsterdam (maybe as a kid but I can’t remember) and I know from my friends that it’s EPIC! So really looking forward to visit this city and our former housemate Millie from Bristol : )))

Also I am thinking about doing a little column about my fashion design studies, like what is happening in the courses, the tasks etc. Would that be interesting to you guys? I, personally, never had a clear idea of what art students actually do and how the study looks like 🙂 Let me know xx

Alright, I’ll give my best to fill my beloved blog more often, as an inspiration for you and me as well! Have a blessed day ❤

Breathe in

We arrived- finally! 25 hours on the road and ferry, 5 passengers with lots of food and even more baggage. We slept in our sleeping bags in a corner of a hallway on the ferry, which brought us over to Sweden over night 🙂 it’s fresh and both sunny and rainy here, but the air is so crisp and awesome, it’s just fantastic 😀 I’m gonna sleep well tonight, I wish the same to you too ❤

Back to nature – Sweden

pola2

Why am I still awake… after a students party marathon and a very short and cold night last night… Yeah right because I really want to update my blog before heading off to the next adventure – SWEDEN tomorrow!

It really makes sense, you’ll see – my sister got herself a car, my stepdad planned to go up north for a week, she wanted to come along and offered to drive with her new car. With her she takes two of her best buddies… and me! When I came back from Portugal I got asked because there was still one seat left in the car, so I was like why not haha! It’s always such a beautiful time up there (my stepdad is lucky enough to own a cute little house in the middle of Swedens nowhere) and so I am really exited 🙂 Fortunately, when in Sweden and in the countryside, you almost don’t need anything… comfy pants, sweater, outdoor jacket. Guitar, camera, music, wine 🙂 Still have to pack my things and make provisions tomorrow, and this time we’ll even have wi-fi in the house (first time for me in like 10 years) so maybe I can still blog 🙂 But primarily I want to use the time to get back to nature, back to myself… training mindfulness and being aware of all those little things 🙂

Sleep well and see you later girls and boys ❤

Hey guys!

I’m back at my mums place and absolutely loving it 🙂 Although I am living with her and my stepdad for now everything is super relaxed , it’s all good, I have lots of time to really do what I love and get mentally supported for doing so!

This easter I actually decided to stay at home but I will visit my sister, dad and grandparents on monday:) I had to choose between travelling all weekend to get to several places or do “nothing” at all  and stay here till monday. Well, you already know what I chose. So today I got ready and went out to go to a second hand shop, which I didn’t find on my first attempt. Found myself in a beautiful park instead, excited about the mild and sunny weather! In the end I found the shop which was really lovely (I love thriftshops!!! Always an adventure and ecologically sensible) and actually rode along a river with my bike, unexpectedly. So this was my saturday afternoon jaunt, loved seeing all the people outside enjoying the sunsine and smiling back 🙂

Now I just had dinner (Chickpeas, Spinach, tomatoes, cake and 2 oranges haha, I didn’t feel like carbs after I ate like a half of the cake already) and am watching the rerun of Germanys Next Topmodel 🙂 Have a good night and a wonderful easter sunday tomorrow ❤

Love, Jule

Vegan temple

Little update x

I went to Schönhauser Allee on monday to get some things I love Germany for, i.e. vegan shampoo for 60 cents and lots of cruelty free products and food for peanuts! I also ad to stop by the mall to get myself a cozy sweater (thanks goodness there are still tiny bits of winter sale items!), because it is still very-very-very cold 😛

On my way back I spotted a poster announcing SCOOTER in concert HAHAHA! That’s so Berlin, actually Anna and I have to go and show off our very personalized shuffle-dance style 😀

Next, yesterday the two of us met at Warschauer Strasse, which I’ve only ever seen by night (party hotspot), but this time I was surprised by its diversity ! We planned to go to GOODIES, a vegan café which -I should have known that before because it’s the same everywhere- shares a place with VEGANZ, our german vegan foodstore chain! Even more surprising was that we found the vegan restaurant THE BOWL on the second floor, which I’ve been following on instagram for ages and never had a clue where to find it! Crazy! So this place is obviously a vegan temple – pure awesomeness! We had incredibly good cake (the one on the picture was mine until I realized that I ordered the wrong one and mixed up the descriptions – this one contains gluten which I can’t have, but luckily I could switch it to a raw vegan stracciatella cake *_*) and a business talk about our latest ´project – stay tuned! xx

Best night in Porto!

party

Yesterday night was a BLAST! We don’t always go out lately, in fact we haven’t been out once during our stay in Portugal. Until yesterday! Quite spontaneously (as always), I finally agreed to Annas idea of exploring Porto’s nightscene! It’s different having a car, so much more comfortable and easy! So we drove into the city, walked through the centre and found a super cute, cozy bar with a very quaint athmospere! After an non-alcoholic mojito for me and an ubersweet sangria for Anna we moved on. We got quite good along with the son of the pub owner and got recommendations for were we should go next!

As we already have april-like weather conditions over here, it started to rain heavily. Quick quick! The hotspot is not far from the centre, 3 minutes walk and you’ll find yourself in one of 3 streets full of bars, clubs and tons of people! Another drink in a dance-bar, which was more visited by older people though. The next bar we stayed in (almost all of them got free entry!!!) was so crowded, you could barely move. Anna spotted a guy next to us, blond hair, pale skin. “Sprichst du deutsch?”, meaning “Do you speak german?” she asked. “How do you know?” he replied astounded. Well, it was too obvious! As far as possible we got into talking (or rather screaming into one’s ear) and eventually joined the group of maybe 6/7 spanish and german guys and girls, who actually paid for a pub crawl from the hostel and so were on a tour trough the best bars and clubs! Since I was still talking to that german guy we decided to just join them on their crawl and went into a dancebar, which had a second floor downstairs. Quicker as I could even realize we stood in the midst of that international group of super funny people bursting with energy, started to dance and didn’t stop till 4 in the morning! As the night went along everyone got to know everyone, but honestly more the boys than the girls, and I had so so sooooo much fun! It’s crazy how one little act can change a whole period of time and open so many opportunities!

As it was a pub-crawl they moved on to the next club – but what is that? A doorkeeper means paying means we are out. We already wanted to say goodbye to the boys, but – they weren’t just superficially nice, no, they really cared. In the end they convinced the crawl-guide-girl to help us! So she told the bouncer that we lost our entry wristbands and eventually – believe it or not – we scurried past him and got into the club for FREE! Now this is what I call a miracle!

I don’t know, it may sound like a normal night out, but firstly, this is rather an exception for me and secondly, the circumstances were so crazy tight! We spend some more hours shaking buts to Rihanna, Drake, charts and badass remixes of tunes both old and new, squatting and twisting, laughing, singing and flirting. But we were still like a big group of old friends, so casual, and we’ve only met them like 4 hours ago!

Anyway, it was such great fun, I can’t get over it haha! These guys were exceptionally cool in terms of ease, dancing (like I’ve never seen guys dancing like that – that hip swinging had Dirty Dancing qualities!!) and realness! No fake trying to be cool or inapproachable, just having fun with new friends that all didn’t know each other for longer than 5 hours!

However, at 4 am we left, due to the growing mass of off – turning, groping men and Annas feet – her shoes already hurt at the beginning of the night, so she was super brave and persevered the whole night – which weren’t willing to stay in those strappy heels anymore!

Oh, did I mention that I didn’t have one drink and still had the best night ever? It really makes no difference as long as you feel comfortable with the people around you! By the way, the second I got on the road to drive home rain started to buck down like – you can’t even imagine! Fate! What an awesome night and – PORTOS NIGHTLIFE IS DEFINETELY WORTH A TRY!

Sun on my face

_1250095

_1250096

_1250404I love it! I love the warmth and the sun on my back, legs, feet, face, sculp, arms etc! I love being able to lay outside carelessly because it’s just so warm that you could spend hours in the park or on the beach in your fluttery dress. The warmness of the blanket from beneath, the tingling sunrays from above. I love it and I will come back to it ☼

We are gonna leave Portugal for a bit. Maybe it’s just a short visit home or even a longer period in Germany. Either way, we are gonna hit the road again soon. Til then, Porto pleases us with summer-like weather, begging us to stay, and I’d definitely come back. But home’s nice as well and there are some projects in the planning, which are easier to do/start from home (some parts at least). So stay tuned and look forward to some Berlin-Inspiration ❤
